La quantit\u00e9 de liquide recommand\u00e9e est d&rsquo;environ 2,5 litres par 24 heures, voire plus (au moins 0,5 litre de plus) par temps chaud. Un apport hydrique tr\u00e8s faible entra\u00eene une d\u00e9toxification plus importante et les troubles associ\u00e9s. Un je\u00fbne sans consommation de liquide est appel\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0je\u00fbne sec\u00a0\u00bb. Il existe \u00e9galement une version plus stricte, o\u00f9 tout contact avec un liquide est interdit. L&rsquo;\u00e9cole russe de je\u00fbne sec recommande cette derni\u00e8re approche. Elle affirme que tout contact avec de l&rsquo;eau, m\u00eame non ing\u00e9r\u00e9e, envoie \u00e0 l&rsquo;organisme des informations qui contredisent les processus adaptatifs mis en marche lorsque l&rsquo;organisme boit davantage. Par cons\u00e9quent, nous ne recommandons pas ce type de je\u00fbne au-del\u00e0 de 3 jours.
