When you create or use a Duoveo account, we may collect:

  • First and last name

  • Password, if you sign in directly with Duoveo
  • Account ID or login username
  • Phone number, if provided
  • Address, if provided
  • Profile photo or avatar, if provided
  • Authentication information from third-party login providers such as Apple, Google, or Facebook, if you choose to use them

If you sign up using a third-party authentication provider, we may receive information such as your account ID, login email, username, name, avatar, and other public profile information made available by that provider.

1.2 Optional Health and Profile Information

To provide health, fitness, and activity-related features, you may choose to provide information such as:

  • Date of birth
  • Gender or sex
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Fitness level
  • Goals
  • Health-related preferences or profile data

Some of this information may be used to calculate fitness or health-related outputs, such as calories burned, distance, activity progress, or other insights. Providing this information is optional unless a feature clearly requires it.

1.4 Location Data

  • Displaying your itinerary during and after exercise
  • Measuring time spent during an activity
  • Showing your position on a map

Location data is collected only when you grant permission and use features that require it. For activity tracking, location collection starts when you initiate an activity and stops when you end the session. If an activity is in progress, location tracking may continue while the app is in the background to ensure accurate recording. Where required by the operating system, a notification or indicator may be displayed while background tracking is active.

You remain in control of activity tracking:

  • Tracking starts only when you initiate it.
  • Tracking stops when you end the session.
  • No activity route tracking is collected outside active sessions unless clearly explained and permitted.

1.5 Device, App, Website, and Usage Information

When you use our Services, we may collect technical and usage information, including:

  • Browser type
  • IP address
  • Device model
  • Operating system
  • Application version
  • Device identifiers
  • Application identifiers

1.7 Purchases, Billing, and Orders

If you purchase products or Services from Duoveo, we may collect order, billing, delivery, and transaction-related information necessary to process the purchase, provide support, and fulfill the order.

Duoveo does not directly store full payment card details. Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers.

If we need to deliver a physical product or device, we may share necessary order and delivery information with shipping or logistics partners.

Duoveo uses personal information to operate, provide, maintain, secure, personalize, improve, and develop our Services.

We do not sell, rent, or lease our customer lists to third parties.

When you choose to share an activity, route, adventure, post, message, photo, video, or other content with friends, other users, or the public, we share the information according to your settings and the feature you use.

3.4 Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons

We may disclose personal information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

4. Public Content License

If you post or share content publicly through the Services, such as posts, adventures, activities, comments, photos, or videos, you grant Duoveo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, display, publish, translate, distribute, and create derivative works from that content for the purpose of operating, providing, promoting, and improving the Services.

This license applies only to content you choose to make public or share through features that involve publication or sharing. You retain ownership of your content.

When you publish an adventure or other content publicly on Duoveo, you understand and agree that the published content becomes part of the public Duoveo experience and cannot be removed from the Services by you after publication.

Before publishing an adventure publicly, you will be asked to confirm that you understand public publication is permanent, that you will not be able to remove the adventure from Duoveo after publication, and that if you later delete your account, Duoveo may remove or anonymize your personal account information but the published adventure may remain available on the Services.

Note: This section should be reviewed carefully before publishing because the license is broad. Keep it only if Duoveo actually needs these rights for public posts, social features, adventures, articles, or promotional use.


5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Duoveo websites may use cookies and similar technologies to personalize your experience, remember preferences, operate features, analyze usage, improve performance, and support security.

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a web server. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses.

We may use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Account login and authentication

Duoveo does not sell customer lists. If Duoveo uses advertising or analytics technologies that may be considered “sharing” under California law, Duoveo should provide the required opt-out mechanism before publishing this policy.

8. Accessing, Correcting, or Deleting Your Data

YYou can view or edit much of your account information by logging into your Duoveo account through the website or mobile application.

You may also update certain settings, preferences, profile information, and adventures or content you have created, subject to the public content rules described in Chapter 4.

You may delete your account directly through the Duoveo app:

  1. Open the Duoveo application.
  2. Select the settings icon.
  3. Go to General Settings.
  4. Select Delete my account.
  5. Select Proceed.

You may also request account deletion by emailing:

Please specify that you want your account deleted. If the email address matches the email associated with your Duoveo account, we will process the request and send confirmation.

After a deletion request, your account will remain available for a 15-day grace period. After this period, your account and personal data will be deleted or anonymized, unless Duoveo is required to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes.

Deletion is usually completed within 15 days.


9. Data Retention

Duoveo keeps your personal information while your account is active so that we can provide the Services to you.

You can delete or update certain information directly through your account settings, including some profile information, preferences, settings, and adventures or content you have created, except for public adventures or public content that cannot be removed after publication as described in Chapter 4.

If you choose to delete your Duoveo account, your account will remain available for a 15-day grace period. During this period, you may still be able to reactivate your account by logging in or contacting Duoveo.

After the 15-day grace period, Duoveo will delete or anonymize your account and personal data, unless we are required to keep certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes.

Some information may remain available if it has been published publicly, shared with other users, or incorporated into public areas of the Services, as described in Chapter 4.


10. Security

We use a combination of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to help protect personal information.

These safeguards may include:

  • Encryption during transmission
  • Encryption or protective controls for stored data where appropriate

11. Children’s Privacy

Duoveo does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. COPPA applies to operators of websites and online services directed to children under 13 or operators that knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Duoveo’s Services are not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Services or provide personal information.

For users under 16, Duoveo may require permission from a parent or guardian, depending on the feature, jurisdiction, and applicable law.
